Ann Young, a native of Southern California, grew up in Rolling Hills on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. At an early age her passion for art was acknowledged by her parents who encouraged this gift with painting lessons throughout her childhood and adolescence. When she was seven the family acquired horses which became her models for hundreds of practice equine drawings and paintings. She continued her education at UCSB, graduating with a bachelor's degree in painting.

Career highlights include murals at USC's Early Childhood Development Center, The Children's Center For the Visually Impaired, Security Pacific Bank of St Louis, Harrah's Casino Reno, Living Free Animal Sanctuary and Fluor International Headquarters Irvine. She has been represented by many galleries in the USA and is collected in Europe and Japan.  One of her favorite galleries was The Canyon Gallery in Los Angeles where she was commissioned for  many interesting projects.
